Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Sprouts Childcare and Learning Centre Inc.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Assistant will work under the supervision of our experienced Early Childhood Educators to provide high-quality care and education to infants and toddlers. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention to their individual needs.
  • Plan and lead activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and learning through play.
  • Establish a daily routine that promotes healthy habits and a sense of security for our children.
  • Collaborate with our Early Childhood Educators to develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of our diverse group of children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to ensure a smooth transition for our children.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Permanent employment with 35 to 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
