About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Events Specialist to join our team at the University of Toronto. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing all aspects of donor and alumni events and meetings, from initial planning to post-event follow-up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate event schedules and calendars
  • Analyze client needs and recommend event logistics and options
  • Conceptualize, organize, and execute event activities
  • Implement plans and process improvements for events and related activities
  • Conduct post-event evaluation and analysis
  • Develop marketing and communications strategies to support fundraising campaigns and programs
  • Liaise with communications staff to coordinate marketing activities for events
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum five years of experience in event planning and execution
  • Experience using events management software
  • Exceptional project management skills with ability to manage budgets and negotiate contracts
  • Strong relationship-building abilities with various stakeholders
  • Proficiency with virtual and hybrid event technologies
What We Offer

This is a full-time term position ending in January 2026. The successful candidate will be eligible for a hybrid arrangement, pursuant to University policies and guidelines. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
