As a key member of our restaurant team, you will be responsible for taking food and beverage orders, serving guests in a professional and courteous manner, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service: Provide prompt and attentive service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- Order Taking and Execution: Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure they are delivered to the correct guests in a timely manner.
- Menu Knowledge: Maintain a strong working knowledge of all menu items, including daily specials and promotions.
- Table Setting and Maintenance: Set tables to company standards, ensuring all items are clean, undamaged, and in good condition.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean designated areas, including tables, floors, and restrooms, in accordance with company procedures.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other restaurant staff to ensure seamless service and a positive guest experience.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with guests, colleagues, and management to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
- Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tables and tasks simultaneously.
- Quality and Safety: Maintain high standards of quality and safety, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1-3 years of restaurant service experience considered an asset.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well under pressure, and attention to detail.
- Certifications: Provincially applicable sell, sale, and handling of alcohol certificate required.
Working Conditions:
- Physical Demands: Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals, standing and walking for extended periods, and lifting up to 20lbs.
- Work Schedule: Overtime as required.
