The Transport Specialist is tasked with operating a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) while efficiently packing, relocating, and securely delivering residential and office items. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all clients of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK. A foundational understanding of operational support areas, including customer service and logistics, is essential.
Compensation Structure
- Starting pay for drivers is $22 per hour, inclusive of paid training.
- In 2023, our Movers and Drivers averaged an additional $3.50 per hour in gratuities.
- Serve as the primary contact for both new and returning clients, fostering trust and confidence in TWO MEN AND A TRUCK services.
- Provide tailored recommendations based on client needs regarding moving services, packing materials, and additional offerings; suggest alternatives based on cost and availability when necessary.
- Gather client feedback throughout the moving process to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns proactively.
- Handle customer complaints with professionalism and communicate relevant issues to management promptly.
- Keep clients and management updated on potential delays and necessary information to enhance satisfaction and profitability.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all company offerings, pricing, and promotions to effectively communicate their value and address client objections.
- Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle and maintain accurate logs.
- Calculate service charges accurately and ensure all move-related documentation is completed and securely handled at the end of the day.
- Safely pack and unpack clients' belongings using appropriate equipment and techniques, adhering to company policies.
- Organize and secure the vehicle after each job, ensuring cleanliness and safety of equipment.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and inventory of moving supplies.
- Adhere to the company uniform policy at all times.
- Project a positive image of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK through professional appearance and hygiene.
- Follow company policies as outlined in the employee handbook and by management.
- Engage in ongoing training and development programs provided by STICK MEN UNIVERSITY to enhance operational knowledge.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by management.

- Strong customer service abilities.

- Minimum age of 25, with at least one year of driving experience required; six months in the moving industry preferred.
- Effective communication skills for presenting information in various settings; bilingual skills are advantageous.
- Mathematical proficiency for basic calculations involving currency and measurements.
- Problem-solving skills to address various situations with limited guidance.
- Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, and lifting, with the ability to handle heavy items.
