Pfizer is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our clinical supply chain operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end activities of our clinical supply chain, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of investigational products to clinical sites.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute global supply strategies for early and late-stage development programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Lead matrix teams responsible for the oversight of supply chain activities, including procurement, production, packaging, labeling, and distribution.
- Provide consultative services to clinical study teams, Co-Development Teams, and Clinical Research Organizations on all aspects of investigational product strategies and supply chain risk management.
- Manage multi-million clinical supply budgets, forecasting, and contingency planning to minimize the impact of unanticipated events.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure site and patient focus, quality compliance, and regulatory adherence throughout the clinical supply chain process.
- Act as a point of contact for clinical supply required input during audits and regulatory inspections, and participate in inspection readiness activities.
- Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of demonstrated and relevant experience in pharma/biotech project management and cross-functional team leadership; clinical supply project management experience preferred or a Master's Degree with 3 years of experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large and complex clinical development programs.
- Demonstrated capability to lead business development activities and acquisitions as they relate to clinical programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Clinical Practices (GCP) environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of pharma quality and regulatory framework.
- Demonstrated in-depth experience managing multiple clinical studies in parallel.
- Demonstrated experience leading and delivering in a matrix team environment.
- Working knowledge of MS office applications, including MS Project and Office Timeline-Pro.
- Demonstrated excellent computer, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities, including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
- Demonstrated understanding of late-stage clinical drug development processes.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire teams to deliver in a dynamic business environment through effective change management and leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain clinical supply demand forecast and budgets.
- Relevant pharmaceutical experience.
- Relevant operational experience across diverse business portfolio (e.g., Biopharmaceuticals, Consumer Products, other industries).
- Past oral presentations at conferences and other large audiences.
