Job Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Specialist Engineer (Electrical), Mine Hoist + Shaft to join our team in a permanent hybrid position. As a Specialist Engineer, you will serve as the electrical subject matter expert and technical authority for the mine hoist and shafts technical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of technical guidelines and processes for the mines, hoists, and shaft team.
  • Consult with senior engineers and other cross-functional team members on mine hoist and shaft designs and project scoping.
  • Conduct ongoing electrical testing on mine hoists and electric drives.
  • Act as the technical authority and company advocate on national code/policy committees relating to mine hoists and shafts.
  • Develop creative ideas for problems with no obvious solution.
  • Research and actively stay current on new technologies specific to mines, hoists, and shafts.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years' professional experience (post PEng) in mines, hoists, and shafts.
  • PEng, Electrical (Ontario).
