Role Overview

We are seeking a Field Sales Consultant for Acosta, working remotely in Eastern Canada, reporting to the Area Sales Manager. This position is responsible for executing field sales initiatives aligned with the national strategy to optimize sales performance. You will enhance product selection and brand visibility at various retail locations while fostering strong relationships with store management and sales teams. Your role will be pivotal in making our preferred brand the choice in stores and serving as a passionate representative of our client's brand.

Key Responsibilities

As a Field Sales Consultant, you will establish and nurture relationships with different retail locations within your designated territory. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the availability of the brand's product range in trade.
  • Maintaining consistency in brand presence and customer experience across all retail locations.
  • Overseeing independent account management, including securing shelf space and merchandising opportunities.
  • Educating and motivating retail staff about the brand's product offerings and sustainability initiatives.
  • Ensuring adherence to brand principles and policies.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage product inventory in stores to ensure optimal assortment and minimize out-of-stock situations.
  • Analyze business data to inform discussions and negotiations with retail partners.
  • Conduct daily store visits according to your schedule and territory plan.
  • Negotiate promotional activities to enhance product rotation in-store.
  • Uphold the brand image in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Foster effective partnerships between retail locations and the brand to maximize sales and visibility.
  • Manage operational efficiency of merchandising resources and demonstration materials as needed.
  • Identify and secure high-potential retail partners for the brand.
  • Support marketing initiatives for the client.
  • Comply with all Acosta policies regarding expenses, travel, and health and safety.
  • Submit all required reporting accurately and punctually.

Qualifications for Success

The ideal candidate will be a brand champion throughout the organization, demonstrating enthusiasm, tenacity, and a results-oriented mindset. Key qualifications include:

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing or sales within a fast-paced consumer goods environment.
  • Proven track record in outside sales management.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to convey key brand messages with passion and credibility.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic environment.
  • Analytical skills and the ability to self-manage remotely.
  • Familiarity with the retail landscape in Canada.
