The Royal Conservatory is a world-renowned music education institution, dedicated to providing exceptional curriculum, assessment, performance training, and teacher certification programs. We also lead in early childhood education and arts-based social initiatives, presenting diverse concerts featuring renowned Canadian and international artists.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Beverage Service Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. Reporting to the Manager, Beverage Services & Operations, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional beverage and concession services to patrons and guests at The Royal Conservatory.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide efficient and professional service of beverages and food at Koerner Hall's three lobby bars.
  • Deliver beverage services for special events hosted at The Royal Conservatory, ensuring smooth operations and a positive guest experience.
  • Maintain high standards during intermissions, maximizing patron satisfaction and sales.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the food and beverage offerings, as well as event details.
  • Communicate any potential issues or concerns to Management promptly.
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service at all times.
  • Ensure adherence to AGCO regulations regarding the safe service of alcohol.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health & safety standards.
  • Manage inventory effectively, ensuring optimal stock levels and timely replenishment.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Your Qualifications:
  • Smart Serve certification is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working as a bartender or in a similar food service role.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patron safety and responsible beverage handling.
  • Experience working in a performance venue is an asset.
  • Enthusiasm for music and the arts is highly valued.
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with cash management and POS systems.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
