Financial Operations Specialist

Tidal Commerce Inc. is a dynamic tech consulting agency specializing in E-Commerce. As a part of our team, you'll be at the cutting edge of E-Commerce and digital innovations, playing a crucial role in defining the business landscape. We collaborate with a diverse range of clients, from established Fortune 500 firms to emerging startups, providing a rich spectrum of exposure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all financial aspects of the organization, including revenue, expenses, and taxes.
  • Produce financial reports and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Oversee payroll, vacation tracking, and sales commissions.
  • Prepare and process expenses, including WSIB calculations and payments.
  • Quoting and deferred revenue billing.
  • Monthly billings and vendor purchase orders.
  • Accounts receivable and payable management.
  • Reconciliations and miscellaneous payments.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Reporting and data analysis using CRM and technical tracking tools.
  • Maintaining archival and administrative files for the company.
  • Resolving accounting requests and communicating with internal and external parties.
  • Investigating and introducing new operational efforts and solutions.
  • Supporting the accounting team with tasks such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, and timely reporting.
  • Assisting with contract preparation and administration.
  • Communicating with employees to clarify expense entry-related issues.
  • Generating accurate and timely client invoices.
  • Booking travel and accommodations for client visits.
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate level studies or equivalent experience required.
  • At least 3 years progressive administrative responsibilities and at least 2 years bookkeeping experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks software required and QuickBooks Time software preferred.
  • Proficiency with Excel and reporting tools for financial reporting.
  • Friendly, personable, and able to build collaborative working relationships.
  • Organized, process-oriented, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent written and spoken English required.
