About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Shoreline Foods Ltd. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles.

Estimate and Manage Inventory

Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.

Quality Control

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

Customer Service

Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that they have a positive experience at our establishment.

Record Keeping

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business decision-making.

Reporting

Prepare and submit reports on a regular basis, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.

Experience

At least 7 months of experience in a food service establishment is required.

Certifications

A Food Safety Certificate is required.

Work Environment

As a Food Service Supervisor, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel, and walk frequently.
