Clinical Pharmacist

The Northern Regional Health Authority is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 38.75 hours per week. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and will receive training as needed.
Work EnvironmentThis role involves working in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting. The employer will cover relocation expenses for the right candidate, who must be willing to relocate.
Key Responsibilities- Order and manage inventory of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Verify prescriptions for accurate dosages.
- Maintain comprehensive medication profiles for customers, including records of controlled substances.
- Oversee the storage, packaging, and distribution of medicinal products.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and technicians.
- Ensure the quality of drug products during production, adhering to standards of potency, purity, and safety.
- Assess labeling, packaging, and advertising of pharmaceutical products.
- Certification from the Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada.
- Licensure by relevant provincial or territorial authorities.
- Immunization records.
- Criminal record check.
- Child Abuse Registry check.
- Eligibility for professional liability insurance.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential.
- Ability to perform a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Capable of handling repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors are critical.
