Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic, physical, and emotional support to students with exceptional needs within the school environment. This role is an integral part of the school team, working collaboratively to encourage student independence and the development of unique talents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with physical and intellectual disabilities, behavioral or learning difficulties
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Assist students with daily living skills, such as personal care and mobility
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in class activities
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Relevant training or experience working with students with special needs
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
  • College diploma or university degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
