Kitchen Helper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at GOOD KARMA. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized, and assisting with food preparation and service.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars
  • Operate dishwashers and other kitchen equipment
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash
  • Sweep, mop, and polish floors
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
  • Reliability and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work as part of a team
Working Conditions:

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods and repetitive tasks. Public transportation is available.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule:

40 hours per week.
