Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Computer/Network Systems Specialist to join our team at School District #42 (Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows). As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our district's computer systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve technical issues related to computer systems and networks.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on district computers and networking equipment.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure seamless operation of our systems and networks.
  • Design and implement software scripts to automate routine tasks and simplify system administration.
  • Manage servers running various operating systems, including Microsoft Windows and Macintosh.
  • Operate various backup software products and ensure data integrity.
  • Provide technical support and training to district staff as needed.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Computer Sciences/Information Systems or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience in computer systems and network administration.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid BC Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT) credential.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification.
  • ITIL Foundations training.
