Grocery Department Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Grocery Department Manager to join our team at Longo's. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of grocery department staff to achieve exceptional customer service and sales results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of grocery department staff to achieve sales and customer service goals
- Develop and implement effective merchandising and inventory management strategies to drive sales and reduce waste
- Monitor and maintain high standards of customer service and store appearance
- Collaborate with other department managers to achieve store-wide goals and objectives
- Manage and control store inventory, including ordering and receiving stock
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback to staff
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety, food safety, and loss prevention
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a grocery department management role
- Proven track record of achieving sales and customer service goals
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and other stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and customer service
