Job Title: Powerline Technician

Elexicon Energy is seeking a skilled Powerline Technician to join our team. As a Powerline Technician, you will be responsible for constructing and maintaining power lines and equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of electricity to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Construct and maintain power lines and equipment, including overhead and underground systems.
  • Operate bucket trucks, radial boom derricks, and other specialized equipment.
  • Perform live line work, including bare hands techniques, stick work, and rubber glove techniques.
  • Respond to trouble calls and public emergencies, including power outages and unsafe situations.
  • Travel to other areas within Elexicon's jurisdiction to assist with emergency restoration.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Journeyperson Lineperson/Powerline Technician Certification (Red Seal certification preferred).
  • V.P./Reg.2204 training.
  • Class AZ/DZ driver's license.
  • Chainsaw Operation.
  • Propane Certification.
  • Lift Truck Certification.
  • Work Protection Code Certification.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Live Line Techniques.
  • Underground Proficiency.
  • IHSA Safety Training and Updates.
