About the Role:

We are seeking highly professional and experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team at RhynoCare in the Chemainus area. As an LPN, you will be responsible for providing nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to residents in long term and acute care facilities
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure excellent nursing and personal care
  • Ensure timely and accessible admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of resident care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement resident care plans

Requirements:

  • Active registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
  • Able to work with persons with infectious diseases
  • BLS Certificate
  • Valid First Aid & CPR
  • Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), proof of negative TB skin test within one (1) year, and Hepatitis B
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work various shift times, including 8- and 12-hour shifts
  • Ability to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital
  • Reliability and commitment to adhering to RhynoCare's shift acceptance/cancellation policy
