About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at EELAMTRANS LTD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating activities with other work units or departments, performing routine clerical duties, and arranging for maintenance and repair work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordination and Organisation: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry, record-keeping, and document management.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Arrange for maintenance and repair work, ensuring that equipment and facilities are in good working condition.
  • Work Records and Logs: Maintain accurate and up-to-date work records and logs, including tracking shipments and recording mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses.
  • Warehouse and Work Area Organisation: Organize warehouse and work areas, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Training and Development: Arrange training for staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Work Assignment and Review: Co-ordinate, assign, and review work, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Materials and Supplies: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring that the team has the necessary resources to perform their duties.
  • Transportation and Logistics: Advise vehicle operators of traffic and other problems, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods and personnel.
  • Issue Resolution: Follow-up on issues with work orders, ensuring that problems are resolved promptly and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Willing to relocate, with transportation, freight forwarding, and warehouse experience.
  • Personal Suitability: Organized, team player, with a permanent work term and English language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
