About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Friends Concrete Cutting Inc. as a Cement Mason. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on our concrete projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, such as trowels and grinders.
  • Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures to secure and stabilize concrete structures.
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and protect against damage.
  • Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces to ensure durability and longevity.
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure accurate budgeting and project planning.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Work site environment: Dusty, at heights, hot, and outdoors.
  • Work setting: Commercial, residential, sidewalks, and curbs.
  • Physical demands: Physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling, and attention to detail.
  • Personal suitability: Accurate, client-focused, flexible, and a team player.
