About the Role:
The University of Toronto is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Auditor to join our Internal Audit team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for executing IT audits from planning to reporting and follow-up phases, including planning and conducting independent audits and reviews of information systems and related technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct IT audits and reviews of information systems and related technology.
- Develop and implement audit plans, procedures, and reports.
- Collaborate with audit team members and clients to successfully complete audits and projects.
- Perform professional internal audit work at an advanced level, employing specialized knowledge developed by the profession of Information Systems Auditing.
- Assist with special investigations and provide advisory services as needed.
- Support external audits and regulatory examinations.
- Serve as a department resource to answer technical questions and provide guidance on matters related to information technology and internal controls.
Requirements:
- An undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or Computer Science.
- Possession of the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or other relevant technology or security designation.
- Demonstrated experience related to information systems audit, information security, and/or risk management.
- 3 years of data analytics experience.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and highly effective problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Audit analytical software (ACL), and related Information Technology.
- Proficient in a wide variety of computing environments and technologies and thorough knowledge of information technology and related internal control concepts.
- Project management skills to prioritize and work on multiple concurrent projects.
- Flexibility and the ability to change priorities quickly and capacity to handle multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, operational managers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to deal with difficult interpersonal situations.
- Ability to deliver client service while balancing professional requirements of the Audit function (Objectivity, Independence, etc.).
