Job Summary

Sunset is seeking a skilled Box Machine Operator to join our team at our Kingsville Distribution Center. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating box machines to achieve high production efficiency while tracking production and scrap.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain box machine performance, identifying and resolving minor issues to minimize downtime.
  • Track and report production metrics, including initial scrap, blanks used, and boxes produced.
  • Operate box machines to optimize production efficiency and minimize shutdowns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and SQF regulations.
  • Assist with baler operation and hand assembly of boxes as needed.
  • Meet daily production goals and contribute to a high-performance team environment.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in production or warehouse environments is preferred.
  • Licenses for pallet jack operation.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills.
  • Spanish language proficiency is an asset.
  • Willingness to maintain confidentiality and protect proprietary information.
Working Conditions

Work in a standing position for extended periods, with occasional temperature fluctuations between 55°F and 70°F. Background noise levels approach 70 decibels. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously throughout the day.
