Position Overview

Join our team at General Machinery & Cutter Inc. as a skilled Machine Fitter. This role involves the precise assembly and fitting of metal components to create robust industrial machinery.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university program lasting 1 to 2 years.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and fit prefabricated metal parts to construct heavy machinery.
  • Carefully move and align subassemblies and components to ensure accuracy.
  • Install significant components, including gears, pumps, motors, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct inspections of subassemblies and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • This position is physically demanding and requires a strong attention to detail.
Personal Attributes
  • Reliability and a commitment to teamwork are essential.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years and less than 3 years of relevant experience.
