About the Role

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is seeking a skilled Slot Attendant to join our team. As a Slot Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a positive experience while playing our slot machines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist guests with slot machine operations and provide instruction on various games and machines.
  • Manage slot machine reservations and promote casino initiatives.
  • Work in compliance with internal controls, company policies and procedures, and provincial lottery/gaming policies and procedures.
  • Manage a cash float, verify and provide jackpot payouts, and monetary change to guests.
  • Report any violations and escalate to the appropriate level as necessary.
  • Replenish and maintain slot machines, monitor machine stack lights to ensure prompt service.
  • Acquire and maintain a knowledge of all slot operation policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience handling cash and working with the public.
  • Superior customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of slot machine functions is an asset.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time and pull, lift, and carry objects weighted similar to a full box of paper.
  • Serving It Right (BC)/Proserve (Alberta) certificate/Smart Serve (Ontario)
  • The ability to obtain registration with either the BCLC, AGLC, or AGCO (based on province).
  • DealUs In (Phase 1) and Reel Facts VLT training within 30 days of start (Alberta).
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a team environment.
  • A willingness to develop new skills and stay on top of the latest industry news and insights.
