We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Nova Scotia Community College. Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks on shop equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct regular safety inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Assist faculty with lab setup and organization.
- Supervise shop operations during service periods.
- Develop and implement inventory control systems to ensure timely ordering of materials.
- Collaborate with faculty to prepare and dismantle workshop demonstrations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
- College diploma or certificate in a related discipline, such as Industrial Mechanic, Plumber, Pipefitter, or Welder.
- Minimum 3 years of recent and related occupational experience.
- Training in WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Basic knowledge of trades operations and safe working conditions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and email.
