Position Overview:

This pivotal role within the Maintenance Division is tasked with overseeing the daily functions of the Maintenance Stockroom. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the individual will ensure that components and supplies are systematically ordered, received, and distributed to Maintenance staff. The role involves managing inventory control and storage strategies that align with the potential impacts of equipment failures and the organization's operational requirements.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily assessments of parts and supplies issued from inventory.
  • Manage transactions for automated stock replenishment.
  • Receive and appropriately store all maintenance-related parts, work order materials, and contractor service documentation, ensuring accurate accounting.
  • Establish Min/Max inventory levels based on usage rates, delivery timelines, and equipment criticality.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies and invoice issues with suppliers.
  • Perform daily cycle counts of stockroom inventory and monitor variance reports.
  • Prepare packages for dispatch, including necessary documentation and scheduling of pickups.
  • Organize stockroom inventory and implement reorganization of new parts as needed.
  • Pick and stage materials for work orders while assigning associated costs.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop technical structures related to parts (Bill of Materials).
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding receiving and inventory management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the stockroom.
  • Participate in Maintenance Team meetings, providing updates on parts availability.
  • Identify obsolete parts and prepare documentation for disposal.
  • Generate purchase orders for goods and services, communicating with suppliers.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a stockroom environment, preferably in maintenance.
  • Education in inventory management or stockroom operations.
  • Technical expertise is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with stockroom applications and maintenance components.
  • Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Self-driven individual with a history of thriving in fast-paced settings.
  • Proficient in SAP asset management systems is preferred.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.
