Job Summary:

The Carpenter - Concrete Forms will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. The successful candidate will also build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Supervise other workers
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade
  • Willing to travel regularly
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions
Work Environment:

The Carpenter - Concrete Forms will work in a variety of locations, including construction sites, and will be required to travel regularly. The work environment will be physically demanding, with the need to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions.
