Key Responsibilities

  • Embrace a growth-oriented mindset, concentrating on possibilities to drive profitable expansion through new client acquisition and providing an exceptional, personalized client experience.
  • Collaborate with your Client Relationship Team, including Private Banking Advisors and Associates, to manage daily banking requirements and work closely with credit structure managers for tailored credit solutions, fostering a team-oriented approach to meet client needs.
  • Develop a strategic plan aimed at achieving performance benchmarks for revenue growth and acquiring new qualifying households, while conducting client discovery activities that reflect the professionalism and expertise expected in this role.
  • As a proactive self-starter, leverage your internal and external networks to build a robust client portfolio and pipeline of prospects, while ensuring the maintenance of a high-quality client base through regular portfolio reviews to identify new business opportunities.
  • Effectively apply your knowledge of financial planning principles to create and implement comprehensive solutions that address client needs, in partnership with RBC investment and wealth planning professionals.
  • Evaluate and implement credit strategies as part of a holistic financial planning approach.
  • Take charge of resolving client issues, sourcing solutions, and utilizing expertise across RBC.
  • Maintain current skill sets and accreditations, staying informed about industry developments to meet client advisory needs while adhering to policies, legal standards, and ethical guidelines to protect both client and bank interests.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a client-facing role (personal or business) where you provided advice and solutions.
  • A solid understanding of credit and financial planning fundamentals.
  • A proven track record of sales achievements, business development, and effective relationship management within a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously to address complex issues and sensitive situations.
  • Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) designation or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
  • Financial Planning designation (PFP or CFP) or commitment to obtain within 18 months.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in commercial or corporate banking.
  • Previous roles in direct financial planning.
  • Leadership experience in managing teams.
  • Additional qualifications such as an MBA, CFA, CPA, LLB, CSC, etc.
