About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at Firehouse Subs. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the financial records and accounts of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, as well as manage benefits and other employee-related expenses.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports and statements for management and external stakeholders.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws, and identify and mitigate potential financial risks.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma in a related field, such as accounting or finance.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with 35 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
