Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and delegate tasks within the production department to meet specified timelines and maintain schedule requirements.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of production paperwork.
• Maintain plant compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct performance reviews for new employees upon completion of probationary periods.
• Develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing standards.
• Ensure conformance to production specifications.
• Foster a positive work environment, motivating team efforts to increase productivity and group cohesion.
• Participate in performance appraisals and disciplinary actions, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Provide health and safety training to employees.
• Collaborate on projects related to plant health and safety, 5S Lean Manufacturing, and HACCP initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
• Post-secondary education in Science, Business, or Engineering, or relevant experience.
• Supervisor/Leadership courses.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or food industry environment at the supervisory level.
• Knowledge of food industry production equipment is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams.
