We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Persson Food Services Inc. as a key member of our bakery operations.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for baking a variety of breads, pastries, and cakes, as well as supervising baking personnel and kitchen staff. This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek.
Key Responsibilities:- Bake mixed dough and batters to produce high-quality breads and pastries.
- Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Prepare special orders and ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure adequate supplies.
- 1-2 years of experience in a baking or food service environment.
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
