Job Summary:

The Security Guard will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at Ingredion Canada, ensuring the protection of people, property, and assets. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Control access to the plant and maintain accurate logs of those entering and leaving the facility
  • Conduct weigh scale operations and document customs control for contractors and drivers
  • Report safety non-compliances and incidents to the designated Ingredion representative
  • Aid in incident mitigation and investigations when required
  • Assist in emergency responses and first aid measures when necessary
  • Support Ingredion Health and Safety programs and procedures
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with employees, contractors, and visitors
Requirements:
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard license
  • Valid First Aid & CPR level C certificate
  • Experience in a truck gate/warehouse environment
  • Ability to maintain a professional composure in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
