William Osler Health System is seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our Medicine Oncology team. As a key member of our interprofessional healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient-focused care to individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients with diverse needs, including those with cancer and palliative care requirements.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and develop strategies to promote patient safety and well-being.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide education to patients and families to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practices in patient care.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Recent experience in palliative and oncology nursing, with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practice, and responsibilities, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interprofessional team and prioritize patient care needs.
  • Excellent physical assessment skills and ability to promote a healthy work environment.
