The Role:

We are seeking a Principal Engineer (Mining) to contribute to our Studies & Engineering team. This permanent position involves collaborating with a team of experts to provide strategic direction and specialized knowledge across a diverse range of projects. You will oversee approximately 30 projects across various countries, focusing on both underground and open-pit mining, as well as related infrastructure such as dams and geotechnical structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of technical experts to offer strategic insights and ensure consistency in design and operational plans.
  • Work alongside new partners on select initiatives, integrating their contributions while aligning with company goals.
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams and ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and approve technical documentation, ensuring adherence to design criteria.
  • Stay informed about advancements in engineering practices and incorporate them into project workflows.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for innovation and improvement within your area of expertise.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Technical Standards.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mining or Civil Engineering is required.
  • Professional certification (P. Eng) is mandatory.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
