Key Responsibilities- Academic Guidance: Provide academic guidance to students, including advising on course selection, academic planning, and career development.
- Career Counselling: Offer career counselling to students, including assessing their interests, skills, and abilities, and providing guidance on career options and job market trends.
- Student Support: Provide emotional support and guidance to students, including helping them to cope with academic and personal challenges.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.
- Program Development: Develop and implement guidance and counselling programs to support student success and well-being.
- Community Engagement: Engage with the local community to promote the college and its programs, and to build relationships with employers and other stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as education, counselling, or a related field.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, such as education, counselling, or a related field.
- Work Setting: University or college, post-secondary educational institution, or private school.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, initiative, judgement, and organized.
- Transportation/Travel: Willing to travel.
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
