A well-established accounting firm is on the lookout for a seasoned Assurance Manager to join their team. This position provides a remarkable chance to be part of a group that prioritizes strong client relationships and community engagement, embodying the philosophy of being 'sufficiently large to be knowledgeable, yet small enough to care.'
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the creation of financial statements and working documentation for audit and review assignments, ensuring adherence to ASPE and CAS standards.
- Direct audit and review assignments, offering mentorship and assistance to junior team members throughout the engagement.
- Compile detailed corporate and personal income tax filings, reinforcing the firm's dedication to outstanding client service.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- At least 5 years of experience in a public accounting environment, holding a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or having successfully completed the CFE.
- Prior experience in a managerial capacity, leading audit and review assignments, is highly advantageous.
- A comprehensive understanding of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS).
- Familiarity with Canadian income tax regulations and excellent communication abilities.
