Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team as a Clinician for the MSD/Community Mental Health & Substance Use Liaison Program.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful impact in mental health and substance use services.
Key Responsibilities- Client Assessment and Therapy: Conduct diagnostic client assessments and provide short-term individual therapy using various interviewing, counseling, and assessment methods.
- Case Management: Manage cases, formulate treatment plans, and goals in conjunction with MSD and Mental Health and Substance Use Services staff.
- Community Resource Facilitation: Facilitate clients' utilization of community services and rehabilitative programs, including researching available services, liaising with agencies, and providing related advice and consultation.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain client records and statistics, prepare reports, and complete forms as required.
- Client Advocacy: Advocate on behalf of clients, providing information about appeal processes and assisting clients to complete forms.
- Education and Training: Provide education to clients and staff on community mental health and substance use programs and issues.
- Quality Improvement and Risk Management: Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities, including participating in quality initiatives and providing feedback to the Coordinator.
- Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Counselling, or other relevant health-related discipline.
- Experience: At least two (2) years' recent, related experience in a community or hospital psychiatric setting, or in a rapid response crisis stabilization function, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Registration: Eligible for registration with the appropriate professional association.
- Driver's License: Valid B.C. Driver's License and access to own vehicle with appropriate business coverage.
