Job Summary:

CNC Machine Operator/Machinist (Exp with Plasma Table)

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator/Machinist to join our team at JobCart Inc. As a CNC Machine Operator/Machinist, you will be responsible for operating specialized CNC machinery used in the production of industrial structural beams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC machinery to create objects as per blueprint specifications
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure good workflow
  • Set up and operate CNC machines
  • Monitor machinery performance and conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal operation
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate work activities and address any issues that arise

Requirements:

  • Must have own car as bus does not cover full shift
  • Able to read, write and follow instructions in English
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience operating plasma table and various other CNC machines
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and project plans
  • Ability to read a tape measure in both metric and imperial
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina

What We Offer:

  • $25/hr + $3/hr raise as learn new machines
  • Full-time/possibly permanent position (not suitable for students)
