Position Overview:
The Parts and Inventory Management Specialist will oversee customer service, inventory management, and administrative functions that enhance operational efficiency, effectiveness, customer satisfaction, and profitability. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional service and communication to both internal and external stakeholders. The Specialist will assist the financial manager by providing insights and information that contribute to overall branch performance and profitability.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Compensation: $25/hour plus Benefits and RRSP Matching
Key Responsibilities
The Parts and Inventory Management Specialist will have key responsibilities in two primary areas: Parts Administration and Customer Service Support.
Customer Service Support
??? Manage the Service Net Planner, coordinating preventive maintenance campaigns, repairs from various sources, and scheduling necessary vendor work.
??? Collaborate with Centralized PM Scheduling Operations and Outside RO Management teams to ensure seamless customer support.
??? Welcome customers at the branch and provide quality service via phone, addressing inquiries related to billing and scheduling.
Inventory Management
??? Oversee inventory productivity to ensure timely service support while minimizing the risk of inventory loss.
??? Maintain optimal inventory levels by ordering parts according to established procedures, ensuring defect-free and timely deliveries through daily collaboration with Centralized Parts Ordering.
??? Organize and store parts in an accessible manner, ensuring timely updates to inventory systems and conducting regular cycle counts.
??? Manage battery inventory and ensure proper tire specifications and quantities are maintained.
??? Ensure warranty items are shipped and received promptly, following up on returns in coordination with the warranty department.
Process Improvement
??? Conduct analyses and reviews in areas such as inventory management, maintenance profitability, warranty campaigns, and other operational metrics. Propose solutions to enhance profitability.
??? Utilize systems like ServiceNet or AS400 for operational insights and process enhancement.
Additional Responsibilities
??? Undertake projects and tasks as assigned by the Branch Financial Manager.
??? High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred.
??? Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
??? Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
??? Minimum of 2 years of customer service and operational experience required; experience in service and parts departments preferred.
??? Quick learner with a passion for collaborative projects and continuous improvement.
??? Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
??? Regular attendance is essential for this role.
??? Willingness to travel as necessary and adhere to the required work schedule.
