Job Summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our marketing department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to promote our brand and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute marketing plans to achieve business objectives, including social media, email marketing, and event promotion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all channels.
  • Research and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Create engaging content for various formats, including blog posts, videos, and social media posts.
  • Manage and maintain our website, ensuring it is up-to-date and aligned with our brand identity.
  • Develop and implement crisis communications plans to ensure timely and effective response to crises.
  • Provide media training and coaching to staff and faculty as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • At least three years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in a non-profit or charitable organization.
  • Strong project management skills, including budget management and deadline adherence.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofing skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Solid knowledge of social media, website trends, and analytics.
Preferred Skills and Capabilities
  • Graphic design experience.
  • Photography skills.
