Job Title: Environmental Scientist

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to join our Land Quality and Remediation team in Kamloops, BC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing contaminated sites projects, coordinating field staff and subcontractors, and engaging with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage contaminated sites projects, including site investigations, monitoring and sampling programs, and remediation programs.
  • Coordinate and supervise field staff and subcontractors.
  • Engage with experienced senior team members to develop work plans and execute projects.
  • Analysis and interpretation of environmental data and preparation of technical reports.
  • Liaison and relationship building with clients and other project stakeholders.
  • Active participation in proposals and other business development opportunities.
  • Provision of technical leadership and mentoring of staff.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in the environmental consulting industry.
  • Strong technical background in environmental site assessment and remediation, waste discharge permitting and compliance, and/or construction environmental management.
  • Working knowledge of provincial (BC CSR) and federal (CCME) environmental regulations and guidelines.
  • Undergraduate or Master's degree in environmental science, engineering, or geosciences preferred.
  • Professional status or eligibility for professional status with a professional organization.
  • Valid driver's license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required for travel to job sites/clients.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000, and final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.
