About the Role
XCCOMMERCE is seeking a highly skilled Software Solutions Architect to join our team. As a key member of our technical leadership, you will be responsible for designing and implementing our product suite, ensuring effective and consistent feature implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and provide guidance on existing functionality or define new requirements.
- Work closely with the development and QA teams to ensure designs are complete and clearly understood.
- Provide estimates for customer and product enhancements.
- Develop design documents and specifications.
- Review peer design documents and specifications, providing constructive feedback.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Several years of experience as an application solutions architect, preferably in the retail industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and be self-motivated.
- A solid understanding of retail business concepts, including sales, CRM, loyalty, marketing, inventory, and accounting.
- Knowledge of application development and design methodologies, such as MVC and UI.
- Ability to work with customers to define and document requirements in detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A good understanding of SQL and database schema design.
- Knowledge of application communication methods, including sockets, SOAP, and REST.
- Understanding of application security methods and alternatives.
- Ability to present and specify with clients and prospects.
- Ability to estimate work costs and effort durations.
- Bonus: Knowledge of cloud computing.
