Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in commercial and residential settings. This includes reading blueprints, determining piping system requirements, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine plumbing system layouts
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise a team of 1-2 people
  • Hold a valid driver's license (Class 3 or D) and possess a Plumber Trade Certification, Plumber Red Seal Certificate, and Working at Heights training
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in plumbing
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Judgement and team player skills
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a physically demanding environment, requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, and hand-eye coordination. The work setting will be in commercial and residential settings, with occasional work in confined spaces.
