Job Summary

This is a core business activity within the company, encompassing various tasks related to gas turbine engine maintenance. A fully trained Mechanic will be able to perform tasks such as cleaning, assembly, disassembly, inspection, balancing, airflow, and testing of engines in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Complete all documents related to work performed
  • Disassemble engines as required
  • Assemble main engine, modules, and sub-assemblies
  • Test engines and components
  • Prepare engine for dispatch
  • Model behaviors consistent with good quality, health and safety, and environmental management practices
Requirements
  • Completion of grade 12 or equivalent
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience is considered an asset
  • Experience as a Mechanic is an asset
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to use and work with computers and computer programs
  • Ability to use basic hand tools
  • Ability to use and care for precision measuring and torqueing devices
Working Environment

This role requires physical fitness and sufficient strength to safely maneuver parts without risk of personal injury or damage. The individual must be willing to walk to various areas of the facility throughout the day.

Weight Handling: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently.

Tools and Equipment: PPE required, including safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and other necessary equipment.

Work Conditions and Physical Abilities: Combination of standing, pulling, bending, crouching, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, grasping, sitting, working with computers, operating a forklift, and using specialty tools.

Worksite Environment: Working in a shop environment with humidity, chemicals, and odors.
