Job Title: Field Heavy Equipment Technician

Brandt is seeking a skilled Field Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team in Terrace.

This role is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry based equipment and attachments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose equipment issues, perform repairs, and maintain records of work completed.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
  • Operate related instruments, hand and power tools, and computer systems to document maintenance and inspection activities.
  • Assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Locate and order parts from parts personnel using parts catalogues.
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Meet physical demands of the role, including climbing, overhead lifting, prolonged standing, and sensory processing.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.

Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred. Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade is also preferred.
