Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Shoppers Drug Mart / Pharmaprix. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for managing the operations of the pharmacy, providing consultation to customers and healthcare providers, and practicing to full scope in providing professional services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pharmacy Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including dispensing medication, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, including counseling on prescriptions and over-the-counter products, and ensuring customer confidentiality and consent management.
  • Professional Services: Practice to full extent of expanded scope, within your capability, and provide professional services to customers and healthcare providers.
  • Inventory Management: Control access to the dispensary, review and maintain workflow queues, and oversee current stock levels and medication orders from wholesalers.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure all requirements for documentation and control of substances under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Regulations are met and reporting to Health Canada and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
  • Independent Thinking and Decision Making: Make decisions when dealing with issues or problems, and plan, coordinate, and delegate assignments to Pharmacy colleagues.
  • Customer Relations: Provide exceptional customer service, and have strong customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
  • Problem-Solving: Formulate and execute action plans, and have strong problem-solving skills.
  • Personal Computing Skills: Have strong personal computing skills and knowledge of Pharmacy systems.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed to provide a healthy and safe work environment.
