Position Overview

As a Personal Support Worker (PSW) at ParaMed, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of assistance. Your commitment to compassionate care will make a significant difference in the lives of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Document care plans and maintain accurate records in accordance with established protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Adhere to safety and health regulations while providing care.

Qualifications

  1. Completion of a recognized PSW Program or HCA/CCA certification that meets industry standards.
  2. Experience in a Long Term Care or community support environment, particularly with dementia and palliative care.
  3. Familiarity with care planning systems and documentation practices.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with clients and their families.
  5. Proficient in English, with the ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
