Travel Licensed Practical Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at a beautiful Long-Term Care/Assisted Living Facility in the Vancouver Island and Interior region, British Columbia.

Contract Details
  • Contract duration: 3-4 months (dependent on availability) with possibility of extension
  • Short-term contracts also available
Location

Island locations: Duncan, BC, Ladysmith, BC

Interior locations: Kamloops, BC

Compensation

$45.00 per hour + travel allowance + accommodation + weekly allowance

Responsibilities
  1. Perform assessments
  2. Plan, implement, and provide personal and nursing care to residents
  3. Administer oral and subcutaneous medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
  4. Directly supervise care staff to meet resident's needs
  5. Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program
  • Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge and background in Dementia care (preferred)
