Position Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe loading and unloading of trucks and railcars with hot asphalt. You will also play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of the asphalt terminal, contributing to the production of high-quality asphalt products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Master all aspects of terminal operations
  • Manage various tasks including customer service, efficiency monitoring, truck scale operations, and assisting with asphalt orders
  • Safely load and unload asphalt products
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot terminal systems
  • Perform general maintenance, cleaning, and snow removal duties

Qualifications

  • Mechanically inclined with a strong commitment to safety
  • Able to tackle challenges and solve problems effectively
  • Willingness to enhance knowledge in emulsion production and quality control
  • Previous experience in transloading or asphalt terminal operations is a plus
  • Familiarity with Safe Work Permits and Lockout/Tagout procedures
  • Experience in industrial settings, including petrochemical environments, is advantageous
  • Railroad experience is also beneficial

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work at heights
  • Capable of swinging a 10-lb sledgehammer
  • Extensive walking on uneven terrain
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Must be able to wear a SCBA respirator (clean-shaven required)
  • Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and pre-employment medical examination
  • Completion of all required training and certifications is mandatory
