Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Technological Education teacher to fill a Long-Term Occasional (LTO) contract position at the Halton District School Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Technological Education courses to students in grades 9-12.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Technological Education courses to students in grades 9-12
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching practices
Requirements
  • Must hold a valid Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certificate
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Technological Education
  • Must have a strong understanding of curriculum design and implementation
  • Must be able to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Preferred Qualifications
  • Intermediate and Senior Design Tech qualifications
  • Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
