Job Overview:

This reputable home builder is looking for a talented individual to drive projects from conceptual design through to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise, creative design skills, and hands-on construction experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of home/residential projects, from initial concept to final build.
  • Knowledge in advanced technological tools and software to create detailed architectural and engineering plans.
  • Work along side clients to prepare designs - drawing packages, modifications, change details, etc.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform design decisions.
  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet client expectations.
  • Innovate and implement new building technologies and sustainable design practices.

Qualifications:

  • Educational background in Drafting or Architecture technology.
  • 2-10 years experience as Design Technologist in residential construction - drafting homes/architectural drawing packages.
  • Experience in AutoCAD and Revit software.
  • Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and sustainable design principles.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative thinking and a passion for innovation in construction and design.
